About us

Founded by Jim De Priest and Steven David Martin in 2004, Theatre on the Green was formed to produce a summer Shakespeare festival, as well as provide outreach programs for the Windsor community and schools.

We believe in making our work accessible to everyone, so we are committed to keeping admission free for all of our events. That, of course, means, fundraising is crucial for our continued success. Please help us out with any donation you can spare. Refer to our our Help! section for sponsor levels and to see exactly how your donations help us.

And, please, feel free to contact us at any time with thoughts, suggestions and cold, hard cash!

Locally, until 2004, Steven appeared in and directed numerous productions at Sonoma County Rep, working with his good friend and theatre cohort, Jim de Priest with whom he co-founded Shakespeare on the Green in 2005.

Bri McWhorter (Miranda) Bri is majoring in theater and will be a junior at UC Berkeley next fall.  She has had the honor of performing in number of theater productions and hopes to make it a career after she graduates. She just moved to Windsor from Santa Barbara last December and has fallen in love with the wine country. She would like to dedicate her performance to her family.
